BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Melbourne Orlando International Airport is undergoing a major $72 million terminal renovation and Expansion Project to prepare for its newest airline, TUI from the UK.

The project is adding 86,000 square feet of new facilities to the terminal as well as renovating existing areas and TUI is estimated to bring 150,000 new international visitors to the Space Coast this year alone, with plans to grow.

This means a new security checkpoint, new departure area with new gates and concessions, a new VIP Lounge and much more.

“As part of the project, we are seeking one or two partners to install kid’s play areas in the new departure area as well as the new VIP Lounge,” said Rob Himler, Manager of Marketing & Communications.

“These will be strategically located in the new concourse near TUI’s main gates, and in the VIP lounge that all TUI’s first-class customers will have access to. We are hoping to move fast on a partnership and have something in place by mid-March.”
