BREVARD COUNTY • VIERA, FLORIDA – The Viera Hawks boys soccer team defeated Ridge Community 3-0 on Wednesday to clinch a berth into the FHSAA Class 6A State Finals.
Viera came out to a hot start scoring a goal within a few minutes of the game starting.
Hawks Sophomore Max May scored one of Viera’s 3 goals on the evening, assisted by Connor Floyd. The defense continued to hold its own throughout the entire match, shutting out one of the hottest scoring teams in the state in Ridge Community.
The Class 6A State Finals are set for Saturday, Feb. 19 at 7 p.m. where the Hawks will host no.4 ranked Mitchell Mustangs.
Viera boys soccer has an overall record of 17-1-1 on the season.
