OBITUARY: Edwin Robert Taylor, 89, Passed Away Peacefully, on Feb. 16

bob worked on NASA APOLLO missions at the Kennedy Space Center for 11 years

BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – Edwin Robert Taylor, 89, passed away peacefully under his daughter, Vicki’s, care in her home on February 16, 2022, of cancer preceded by an ALS diagnosis.
‘Bob’ was born in Hollywood, CA, on January 28, 1933, to Edwin Hammond and Mary Emma Moore – Taylor. He was preceded in death by his wife, Cynthia Ann Taylor, of 63 years.
He is survived by their 3 daughters Joyce Simmons, Diane Coleman, Vicki Lacy, and 1 son, Jeffery Taylor, 9 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
Bob graduated from Penn State University with a degree in Engineering and went on to start a career with General Electric working alongside NASA flying Apollo missions at the Kennedy Space Center for 11 years. Following his career in FL, Bob and Cynthia moved to Stafford, VA where he would support Aerospace missions before retiring in 92′.
Upon retirement, The Taylor’s would return to Florida and set up home in The Great Outdoors. During retirement, Bob and Cynthia enjoyed RVing across the country visiting the National Parks and traveling into Canada.
While residing in the Great Outdoors the Taylors made many lifelong friends; several of which provided care and support to The Taylors as Bob’s ALS diagnosis progressed.
