Pedestrian Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash at Intersection of US-1 and Peachtree St. in Cocoa

Cocoa Police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash involving a tractor trailer vs pedestrian that happened early Thursday morning on US-1 and Peachtree St.

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – Cocoa Police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash involving a tractor trailer vs pedestrian that happened early Thursday morning on US-1 and Peachtree St.

Police are asking for the community’s help in locating tractor-trailer involved in Thursday morning’s hit-and-run.

Authorities say the tractor-trailer did not have a trailer attached. They describe the cab as red, brown and black in color and should have damage to the front end.

According to witnesses at the scene, the tractor trailer was traveling eastbound on Peachtree St. and turned left onto northbound US-1 when it hit the pedestrian.

The pedestrian, described as an adult male, was walking westbound crossing US-1, and was in the crosswalk when he was hit.
