BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – Titusville Police have made an arrest in connection with the death of a disabled man who was found dead Friday morning at a home on Kennedy Court.

John Edward Dietsch, 56, of Titusville was charged with Felony Abuse of a Disabled Adult.

Police were called to a residence on the 1000 block of Kennedy Court around 11:45 a.m. on Friday (Feb. 11) in response to a wellbeing check for the victim.

When officers arrived, they found the victim dead in the home and in a state of advanced decomposition, according to Amy Matthews of the Titusville Police Department.

Dietsch was living in the home and was the sole caregiver for the victim.

Dietsch was taken into custody and booked into the Brevard County Jail without bond.

The victim’s identity has not yet been released by police.

Additional charges could be pending as investigators continue their investigation.
