BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – An arrest has been made in connection with the January 9 shooting death of Anthony Lamar Berry, 31, of Mims.

According to police, Shikeem Jammall Mallett, 30, of Titusville, was charged with 2nd Degree Murder, Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.

Titusville Police issued an arrest warrant for Mallett on January 9, 2022.

Mallett was apprehended after a vehicle pursuit by Alachua and Putnam County Deputies on Monday January 31, 2022.

Shikeem Jammall Mallett was transported and booked into the Brevard County Jail on February 3, 2022 and is being held without bond.

Titusville Police have released the identity of the victim in a deadly shooting that happened near the 500 block of Rock Pit Road on Sunday.

BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – Titusville Police have released the identity of the victim in a deadly shooting that happened near the 500 block of Rock Pit Road on Sunday.

Police identified the victim killed as Anthony Lamar Berry, 31, of Mims, after he was found with an apparent gunshot wound lying on the ground in the area.

Police officers responded to the scene around 1:30 p.m. about calls for service in reference to an altercation and reports of shots fired on the 500 block of Rock Pit Road.

When police arrived, they found nearly 30 people participating in verbal and physical dispute with Berry lying on the ground with an apparent gunshot wound.

Berry was pronounced dead at the scene by authorities.

No other injuries were reported.

Police say the suspect(s) are still at large.
