41-Year-Old Palm Bay Woman Dies in Deadly Crash on Babcock St.

Florida Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a deadly crash involving a pedestrian on Babcock St. and Welland St. that resulted in the death of 41-year-old Palm Bay woman.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Florida Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a deadly crash involving a pedestrian on Babcock St. and Welland St. Wednesday night that resulted in the death of 41-year-old Palm Bay woman.

State troopers responded to the crash scene around 10:50 p.m. where the crash victim was struck by a vehicle as she walked with her bicycle along Babcock St.

Investigators are still trying to determine whether the victim was walking on the shoulder or the roadway.

After striking the pedestrian, the driver of the Dodge Charger, identified as 54-year-old Palm Bay woman, left the scene of the crash but later returned to the crash scene with her husband.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at Palm Bay Hospital a short time later.

The crash still remains under investigation by FHP.
