Backyard Axe & Games to Host Fundraiser April 3 to Benefit Doug Flutie Foundation for Autism

Flutie Foundation has distributed more than $15 million in the last 20 years

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Join the Backyard Axe & Games in Palm Shores on Sunday, April 3 for a fundraiser for the Doug Flutie Foundation for Autism.
Starting at 12 noon, the event will feature food, access to games, axe throwing and more this event is a family-fun event to benefit the autism community.
This event includes the chance to meet NFL legend and co-founder of the Flutie Foundation, Doug Flutie and see his Batmobile.
All proceeds will help the Flutie Foundation continue to fund programs that help people and families affected by autism live life to the fullest. To date, the Flutie 5k has raised over $1.5 million.

ABOUT THE FLUTIE FOUNDATION
Former NFL Quarterback, Doug Flutie, and his wife Laurie started the Doug Flutie, Jr. Flutie Foundation for Autism in 1998 after their son, Dougie, was diagnosed with autism at the age of three.
Their personal experience of raising a son on the autism spectrum inspired them to help others on an equally long and challenging journey.
Over its 20-year history, the Flutie Foundation has distributed over $15 million to schools and organizations that provide clinical therapies, respite services, recreational programs, social skills training, job support, and more for people affected by autism.
The Flutie Foundation also provides education technology tools, adaptive camp scholarships, safety equipment, and direct family support through its partnerships and special initiatives.
