Panthers will return to Orlando next weekend
ORLANDO, FLORIDA – The distance track teams continued their 2022 schedule at the Black and Gold Invitational on Friday night, although they would have hoped to compete for more than they did like the constant presence of thunderstorms in the area prevented many of the evening’s events from taking place.
The meet went into its first delay at 7:40 p.m., which lasted an hour and 20 minutes.
Upon its conclusion, Josianne Keenan would be the only Tech runner who was able to participate on the night, finishing sixth in the women’s 1500 meter race with a time of 5:18.95.
Just over 40 minutes later, a second delay began and would ultimately lead to the night’s festivities being called off at 10:30.
The Panthers will return to Orlando next weekend with hopefully better weather in store as they intend to compete on Friday and Saturday at the Knights Invite.
