Columbia Elementary School Past Principal Rachel Roberts Honored With Leadership Award

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Florida TaxWatch announced that Rachel Roberts, immediate past principal of Columbia Elementary School in Palm Bay, is among the nine winners of the Florida TaxWatch 2021-22 Principal Leadership Awards.

Through the program, Roberts – who now serves as Director of Elementary Leading and Learning with Brevard Public Schools – has also identified one deserving student to receive a full two-year Florida College Scholarship.

“The principals Florida TaxWatch is honoring with this one-of-a-kind award are some of the most dedicated and deserving educators in Florida,” said Florida TaxWatch President and CEO Dominic M. Calabro.

“We commend them for their transformational leadership and the success they have achieved on behalf of their students. Thousands of young people have and will continue to benefit directly from this work, striving to improve their circumstances and reach their full potential, which will ultimately allow them to make significant contributions to their communities and the state as a whole.”

Florida Prepaid College Foundation Director Cindy O’Connell said that  the work of these dedicated principals dictates which opportunities for success will be available to our children and how their educational experience will mold them into future leaders and productive members of our society.
