Florida Tech Panthers Track Continue Spring Season at UT Distance Classic, Hibbard Placed 3rd in 1500

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The distance track teams continued their 2022 schedule at the UT Distance Classic on Friday night.

Josianne Keenan represented the Panthers in the women’s 1500, taking 18th with a time of 5:11.17.

William Hibbard placed 3rd in the men’s 1500 with a time of 4:11.53 followed by Christopher Daniele in 13th at 4:15.26.

Tech also competed in the men’s 5000 meters with Avery Cook finishing 60th at a time of 16:05.53.

RESULTS:

■ Josianne Keenan – 5:11.17 (18th, Women’s 1500)
■ William Hibbard – 4:11.53 (3rd, Men’s 1500), 16:40.58 (79th, en’s 5000)
■ Christopher Daniele – 4:15.26 (13th, men’s 1500), 17:09.33 (85th, men’s 5000)
■ Avery Cook – 16:05.53 (60th, men’s 5000)
■ Alexander Larrivee – 16:54.81 (80th, men’s 5000)
■ Reese Van Putten – 16:57.62 (81st, men’s 5000)
■ Michael Cowles – 17:18.21 (87th, men’s 5000)
■ Luke Aagaard – 17:51.13 (93rd, men’s 5000)
■ David Adler – 17:59.96 (96th, men’s 15000)

The Panthers’ next competition will be on Friday-Saturday March 18-19 at the UCF Black and Gold Invitational in Orlando.
