Melbourne Police ID Mother, Two Children Found Dead in Vehicle Parked at Manatee Cove Apartments

Melbourne police officers have released more info on a death investigation after a mother and her two young children were found dead Sunday night in a vehicle parked inside the Manatee Cove Apartments complex, located at 746 Madelyn Way, in Melbourne.

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Melbourne police officers have released more info on a death investigation after a mother and her two young children were found dead Sunday night in a vehicle parked inside the Manatee Cove Apartments complex, located at 746 Madelyn Way, in Melbourne.

The mother has been identified as 35-year-old Andrea Langhorst from Port St. Lucie and her two children, both age 3, as Olivia Dryer and Adam Dryer.

According to a Melbourne police spokesperson, officers responded to a call regarding the suspicious vehicle parked inside the apartments complex.

After further investigation detectives have determined that Langhorst, who was the biological mother to both Olivia and Adam Dryer, appeared to have been living transiently out of the vehicle along the east coast of Florida.

The investigation into this incident remains active, and detectives are working closely with the Brevard County Medical Examiner’s Office to learn more about their deaths.

Police have no reason to believe there is an active or persistent danger to the community.
