BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The National Weather Service in Melbourne calls for showers and thunderstorms before 4 p.m., then a slight chance of showers with a high near 83, windy, with a south southwest wind 15 to 20 mph becoming west northwest in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph. The chance of precipitation is 80%, new rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible on Saturday.

■ Sunday: Partly sunny, with a high near 66. North northeast wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

■ Monday: Partly sunny, with a high near 73. East wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

■ Tuesday: A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 78. Southeast wind 5 to 10 mph.
