‘STUPID CHOICES’: Brevard Sheriff’s K-9 Colt Stops Suspect Who Fled Deputies in Stolen Car

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – So this is the “Stupid Choice” timeline that Gerard Davis followed to get a ride to the hospital and then the Brevard County Jail.

 Stupid Choice Number 1: Steal a car in Brevard County.

Stupid Choice Number 2: Get in a pursuit with Brevard County Sheriff’s deputies in the car you just stole.

Stupid Choice Number 3: Attempt to outrun and flee from the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Aviation Unit in the stolen car.

Stupid Choice Number 4: Crash the stolen car into a stump.

Stupid Choice Number 5: Run from the stolen car you just crashed and hide knowing that K-9 Colt is on duty.

Stupid Choice Number 6: Don’t give yourself up when we announce, “We are turning K-9 Colt loose if you don’t come out.”

Stupid Choice Number 7: Thinking K-9 Colt wouldn’t find you!

Stupid Choice Number 8: Assuming that K-9 Colt wouldn’t bite you in the leg.

Stupid Choice Number 9: Forgetting that this is Brevard County and we have zero tolerance for crime.

MORAL OF THE STORY: Don’t make stupid choices in Brevard County and you don’t have to worry about K-9 Colt trying to rip your leg off.
