BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – Advancements in forensic technology and extensive, tireless investigation by Titusville police detectives have resulted in charges being filed for a 2011 double murder case.

Titusville police detectives issued a warrant for 51-year-old Larry A. Lee’s arrest on April 19 and the Mims native was taken into custody by the U.S. Marshal service.

Lee, a convicted felon, has been incarcerated in the Federal prison system since 2014. He is currently in custody at the Seminole County Jail and will be transferred to the Brevard County Jail without bond.

“A decade-long investigation has afforded our department the opportunity to provide justice for these two victims and their families, who still suffer the consequences of these heinous crimes,” said Titusville Police Criminal Investigations Sergeant Tim Werring.

“We never gave up on our pursuit for justice in this case.”

Lee was charged with 2nd-degree murder in the of death Anquanette Skanes and Lapriet Jordan in 2011. Lee is charged with 2nd Degree Murder with a Firearm and 2nd Degree Murder with a Weapon.

According to Titusville Police Department’s Amy Matthew, the preliminary investigation revealed the suspect shot Skanes and stabbed Jordan, ultimately resulting in their deaths at a River Breeze apartment home.

“Advancements in forensic analysis of evidence, along with a long-term commitment and an extensive investigation by numerous detectives over the past 10 years, confirmed the suspect’s involvement in the crimes,” said Matthews.
