BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – As the month of April, which is Volunteer Appreciation Month draws to a close, I wanted to take a minute to thank all of our amazing volunteers at the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office.

When you consider the impact that volunteers have on our agency and community, you begin to fully understand the quote of Sherry Anderson, “volunteers don’t get paid, not because they’re worthless, but instead, because they are priceless.”

As the Sheriff of our agency, I truly understand the importance of our amazing volunteers and how they are one of the reasons we are so successful.

I often cringe when I hear other agency heads call a unit within their agency “a support unit” as I believe that every single member of our agency, regardless of their role is vital to our success.

Please join me in thanking our over 250 volunteers for their commitment and dedication to our agency and community. We are blessed to have them as a member of our team and our BCSO Family.
