BREVARD COUNTY • PORT ST. JOHN, FLORIDA – Recently, one of our citizens posted on social media the above picture of a couple of Atlantis Elementary School students helping School Resource Deputy Anthony Genova make it safely across the street.

Okay, maybe it’s the other way around, but since we are telling the story we thought we would have a little fun with Deputy Genova who is assigned as the School Resource Deputy at Atlantis Elementary School.

Deputy Genova is truly beloved by the students, staff and parents at Atlantis, as he not only keeps them safe but also shows them how to have fun in life.

I could not be more proud of our School Resource Deputies as they are truly an amazing part of our team who work hard each and every day to build relationships and friendships with our students.

The role they play in our mission is vital to keeping our schools safe and getting to these kids before they get to us.
