FHP: Cocoa Man, 29, Killed in Fatal Motorcycle vs. Vehicle Crash on Sisson Road Near Grissom Parkway

A 29-year-old Cocoa man was killed after a crash in Titusville on Monday at 6:26 p.m., according to the Florida Highway Patrol. According to a Florida Highway Patrol spokesman, the victim who operating a 2020 Harley Davidson motorcycle, was traveling southbound on Sisson Road approaching Grissom Parkway when the crash occured. 

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – A 29-year-old Cocoa man was killed after a crash in Titusville on Monday at 6:26 p.m., according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

According to a Florida Highway Patrol spokesman, the victim who operating a 2020 Harley Davidson motorcycle, was traveling southbound on Sisson Road approaching Grissom Parkway when the crash occured.

A 75-year-old Melbourne man driving a 2010 Nissan Altima was stopped on the southbound shoulder of Sisson Road.

According to a Florida Highway Patrol spokesman, the motorcyclist began passing southbound traffic in a marked no-passing zone and entered the northbound lane of Sisson Road, and the Nissan Altima began making a U-turn to travel northbound on Sisson Road and struck the motorcyclist.

The victim was thrown from his motorcycle and then transported to Parrish Medical Hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.

This crash remains under investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol.
