BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Congratulations are in order for Brevard’s top two STEM students, Melanie Joy Allen of Merritt Island High School and Matthew Krininger of Westshore Jr./Sr. High School have been named Sunshine State Scholars.

Each year, Florida’s school districts identify their top junior students in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).

Scholars and their parents are invited to a two-day conference in Orlando designed to bring scholars together, and connect them to colleges and employers that specialize in the STEM fields.
