Melbourne Police Arrest Two Suspects for Possession of Illegal Drugs During Traffic Stop

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Alexis Taylor, 19, and Christopher Goos, 21, were arrested for possession of Alprazolam, possession of 6.9 pounds of marijuana and THC wax, and possession of Adderall.

According to Melbourne Police Sergeant Benjamin Slover, the traffic stop was conducted on a 2019 Chevy four-door for a traffic violation on March 31, at around 10 p.m.

During the traffic stop, police found reasonable suspicion to search the vehicle.

“The driver, Alexis Taylor, was found to be driving on a suspended license. Further, she was in possession of Alprazolam without a prescription while operating the motor vehicle,” said Sgt. Slover.

“The passenger sitting in the rear seat, Christopher Goos, was seated next to a suitcase. Goos admitted ownership of the suitcase, which contained 6.9 pounds of marijuana and THC wax.”

Goos also admitted to carrying a concealed firearm in his pants pocket during the incident and also had Adderall on him without a prescription.

He was also on probation for a similar drug offense.
