BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The National Weather Service in Melbourne calls for showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm, cloudy skies, with a high near 82, southwest wind around 10 mph becoming west northwest in the afternoon. The chance of precipitation is 60%, new rainfall amounts between a half and three-quarters of an inch possible on Friday.

■ Friday Night: A 40 percent chance of showers before 2 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 66. Northeast wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.

■ Saturday: A slight chance of thunderstorms before 8 a.m, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms between 8 a.m and noon, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm after noon. High near 80. Light northeast wind becoming east southeast 5 to 10 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 80%.

■ Saturday Night: Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 65. North wind around 5 mph becoming south southwest after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 70%.

■ Sunday: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 79. West wind 5 to 10 mph becoming north northwest in the afternoon.
