If an applicant has been illegally involved with controlled substances under any of these conditions, they will not be considered for employment.
At the date of the application, any use of a controlled substance (defined under FS 893) within the last two (2) years for marijuana and three (3) years for all other illegal drugs.
Use of a controlled substance prior to age twenty-six (26) may be considered a youthful indiscretion. Youthful indiscretion is defined as ten (10) times or less.
Any sale of a controlled substance to others.
Use of a controlled substance while in a law enforcement position or in a position that carries with it a high level of responsibility and public trust.
