BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA –What an incredible start to Memorial Day Weekend as the residents of The Great Outdoors in Titusville, Florida, dedicated their “Retired Flag Box” during a patriotic ceremony that included the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Honor Guard.

I was also honored to speak during the dedication ceremony that unveiled the “Retired Flag Box” that will serve as a temporary and secure home for retired American Flags that are waiting to be properly disposed of in accordance with the U.S. Flag Code.

The “Retired Flag Box” was conceived, designed, and crafted by members of The Great Outdoors and will be housed at the main center inside the homeowners association.

I would like to personally thank our Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Honor Guard for all they do to bring honor and dignity to ceremonies throughout our community, Barbara Yeager for inviting us to participate in todays event, and of course the residents of The Great Outdoors for their love and passion of our great nation.

– Sheriff Wayne Ivey
