Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Motor Units Escort Vietnam Traveling Memorial Wall to Wickham Park

Earlier today I was honored to work with our Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Motor Unit and Motor Units from various agencies throughout Brevard County as we escorted the 35th annual processional escort of the “Vietnam Travelling Memorial Wall” to Wickham Park. (BCSO image)

BREVARD COUNTY • WICKHAM PARK, FLORIDA – Earlier today I was honored to work with our Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Motor Unit and Motor Units from various agencies throughout Brevard County as we escorted the 35th annual processional escort of the Vietnam Travelling Memorial Wall to Wickham Park.

Thousands of motorcyclists, many of which are veterans were joined by first responders and citizens from across the county as we escorted the wall from Eastern Florida State College’s Cocoa Campus to Wickham Park.

The “Vietnam Travelling Memorial Wall” is a 3/5 scale replica of the Vietnam Memorial in Washington D.C., and will be on display at Wickham Park for the coming week, along with the “Some Gave All Moving Tribute,” and other static displays, for Vietnam and All Veterans Reunion.

If you have never witnessed It, the wall is an emotional experience and reminder of the service, honor, and valor of those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom and those we must never forget.

I would like to personally thank all the members of the Motor Units who helped keep everyone safe during today’s escort, the many volunteers who have dedicated their lives to remembering our fallen heroes, all of today’s riders and escort participants, and of course everyone who lined the route to pay their respects and support the escort.
