BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Brevard County Fire Rescue and the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office helped rescue a person on Thursday after he fell into a hole at a construction site that was in the middle of excavation work.

Brevard County Fire Rescue’s Special Response Team, along with the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Dive Team, assisted in rescuing the man that fell into a hole approximately 15-foot deep and 40-foot circumference.

The technical rescue personnel had to deal with many challenges due to the depth and density of the muck and featured many challenges, including accessing and getting the technical equipment to the scene.

After the rescue, the man was transferred to Holmes Regional Medical Center via First Flight.
