BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – Cocoa Police Department met residents living around Gilmore Park off Prospect Avenue and Fern Avenue during Thursday’s Chief Evander Collier’s Community Walk.
Cocoa Police officials heard some great stories about the history in the neighborhood from Mr. Larry Gilmore, whom the park was recently named after.
The Cocoa Police Department met several new residents to the area, explained the difference between speed bumps and effective traffic enforcement, got some feedback about the park and suggested additions, met “Clucky” the family chicken, and just had some short but great conversations.
Cocoa Police looks forward to these community walks where they can meet everyone where they live. They want to make sure they address whatever concerns are presented before they become real problems!
They are so grateful for the opportunity to help wherever they can.
