Eastern Florida State College catcher Drew Cavanaugh was named to the All-State second team on Wednesday. Cavanaugh did not make an error as the No. 1 catcher for the Titans and had 257 putouts. BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Eastern Florida State College catcher Drew Cavanaugh was named to the All-State second team on Wednesday.

Cavanaugh did not make an error as the No. 1 catcher for the Titans and had 257 putouts. Offensively, the Rochester Hills, Michigan native hit .314 this season with eight home runs and drove in 32 runs, and stole 10 bases for the Titans.

The sophomore was named the Southern Conference Defensive Player of the Year and was on the All-Southern Conference first team.

Cavanaugh becomes the eighth player since 2001-02 to be named to the All-State team and the first since 2019.
