COMPENSATION: $2,034.85 to $2,238.34 biweekly.

Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Beachside/Cocoa Beach. Work schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Performs experienced professional work supporting the operational functions within the Tourism Development Office (TDO).
Work involves managing Visitor Services operations in the community. In addition, this classification will offer operational support to other programs and projects within the Tourism Development Office, including beach renourishment and parks special projects, Capital Facilities projects, and the multiple grants which support these and other tourism-related projects, programs, and initiatives. Supervision is given to clerical staff.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Tourism, Hospitality Management, Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a closely related field PLUS four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in the travel industry, tourism, or a closely related field in a medium to large organization.
Additional qualifying education and/or experience may be substituted on a year for year basis. Grant writing and oversight experience is preferred.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida Driver’s license and maintain said license during the term of employment. In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
