Narrated Abu Musa al-Ash’ari:

(Sunan Abi Dawud 4843)

Narrated Abu Hurairah:

That the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “The one who memorized the Qur’an shall come on the Day of Judgment and (the reward for reciting the Qur’an) says: ‘O Lord! Decorate him.” So he is donned with a crown of nobility. Then it says: ‘O Lord! Give him more!’ So he is donned with a suit of nobility. Then it says: “O Lord! Be pleased with him.’ So He is pleased with him and says: “Recite and rise, and be increased in reward with every Ayah”.

(Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2915)

■ Quran memorization raises your status

Real wealth is found in Jannah where you have no limits. God raised the status of the Hafez of the Qur’an.

And whoever memorizes the Qur’an is asked to “recite and raise” the rank of Jannah. The more a Hafez recites the Noble Qur’an, the more he will be able to raise his status and reach the highest level in Heaven – Jannatul Firdaws.

Jannat Al-Firdaws was uniquely designed by God for his loved ones such as the Prophet Muhammad (may God bless him and grant him peace) and his companions. We cannot reach their position but we can pray to God to bring us close to them.

Narrated ‘Abdullah bin ‘Amr:

That the Prophet (ﷺ) said: “It shall be said – meaning to the one who memorized the Qur’an – ‘Recite, and rise up, recite (melodiously) as you would recite in the world. For indeed your rank shall be at the last Ayah you recited.”

(Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2914)

■ Quran memorization heals the body and soul

Narrated Ibn ‘Abbas:

that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Indeed, the one who does not have the Qur’an inside him (his heart), is like the ruined house.”
