BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Melbourne Bulldogs softball team defeated Bartow High School 2-0 in the FHSAA Class 6A Regional Championship game on Friday.

The Bulldogs advance to the FHSAA Class 6A State State Semifinals for the first time since 2014.

Melbourne is currently riding a 9-game win streak as they head into the final four.

The No. 2-ranked Bulldogs are set to face off against No. 1 Pace at Legends Way Ballfields in Clermont on Friday, May 27.

The Bulldogs are 24-2-1 on the season.
