Melbourne Police, FBI Seize Cocaine and Fentanyl, Arrest Perp After Drug Bust On Strawbridge Avenue

The Melbourne Police Department’s Special Investigation Unit, along with assistance from the department’s SWAT team, patrol officers, and FBI Safe Streets Task Force Officers, served a search warrant Thursday at 414 East Strawbridge Avenue in south Melbourne. Melbourne Police Lt. Ryan Schorer said the search warrant was the result of an ongoing investigation into illegal drug sales coming from the residence and resulted in the arrest of Jayson Ross, above, who was charged with the sale of fentanyl, possession of fentanyl with intent to sell and possession of fentanyl.

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Melbourne Police Department’s Special Investigation Unit, along with assistance from the department’s SWAT team, patrol officers, and FBI Safe Streets Task Force Officers, served a search warrant Thursday at 414 East Strawbridge Avenue in south Melbourne.

During the operation, detectives located and seized 833 grams of cocaine, 32 grams of fentanyl, and $1,232 in U.S. currency, according to Melbourne Police Lt. Ryan Schorer.

Lt. Schorer said the search warrant was the result of an ongoing investigation into illegal drug sales coming from the residence and resulted in the arrest of Jayson Ross, who was charged with the sale of fentanyl, possession of fentanyl with intent to sell and possession of fentanyl.
