One Person Dead After Fatal Shooting at UMart Convenience Store in Melbourne

Melbourne Police are investigating a fatal shooting that happened late Wednesday night at a UMart convenience store at 653 E. University Blvd.

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Melbourne Police are investigating a fatal shooting that happened late Wednesday night at a UMart convenience store at 653 E. University Blvd.

Police were called to the scene around 11:42 p.m. where they found the shooting victim, who was then transported to HRMC by ambulance.

After arriving at Holmes Regional Medical Center, the victim was pronounced dead by medical staff.

The victim’s name is not being released at this time pending the next of kin notification.
