Palm Bay Fire Rescue Crews Attend Truck Company Operations Class at Eastern Florida State

The Fire Training Academy offers persons interested in becoming a firefighter excellent training that will prepare them in meeting the state Fire Fighter standards.
BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – Palm Bay Fire Rescue, along with other fire department agencies, attended the Truck Company Operations Class at Eastern Florida State College.
The course is designed to provide scenario-based training in a practical and realistic manner.
The firefighters became familiar with operational functions associated with the Truck, Tower, Aerial, and Ladder company.
These functions included forcing entry into a secured structure, performing interior searches with the removal of patients from the ground or elevated levels using ground ladders or trucks, and vertical ventilation.
The Fire Training Academy offers persons interested in becoming a firefighter excellent training that will prepare them in meeting the state Fire Fighter standards.
Eastern Florida State College also offers multiple courses to enhance employment opportunities as a firefighter.
