Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Locates Missing Inmate Near Camp Road After He Cut Off His Ankle Monitor

Mountcasel walked away from the “Bridges” Work Release Program

The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office has located 32-year-old, Gregory Mountcasel, who walked away from the “Bridges” Work Release Program, located at 585 Camp Road in Cocoa, at approximately 9:30 p.m. yesterday evening, after cutting off his electronic monitor.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office has located 32-year-old, Gregory Mountcasel, who walked away from the “Bridges” Work Release Program, located at 585 Camp Road in Cocoa, at approximately 9:30 p.m. yesterday evening, after cutting off his electronic monitor.

Mountcasel was taken into custody at approximately 9:00 a.m. this morning after he walked out of a wooded area near Camp Road in Cocoa and turned himself in to deputies.

Mountcasel was transported to the Brevard County Jail Complex on a No Bond status, where he will face the additional charges of Escape and Tampering with an Electronic Monitoring Device.

Mountcasel walked away from the work release program facility where he was serving a two-year State Department of Corrections sentence for Fleeing and Eluding and Driving Without a License.
