Brevard Officials Seek Public Comment Ahead of Consortium Annual Action Plan, Received $1.37 Million Grant

Brevard County will receive $1,372,105 in CDBG funds

Brevard County is the recipient of federal grant funds through programs administered by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development. These programs are designed to assist our low- and moderate-income residents. Brevard County will receive approximately $1,372,105 in CDBG funds and $550,883 in HOME funds next year.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Brevard County is the recipient of federal grant funds through programs administered by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development.

These federal grants include the Community Development Block Grant  Program and the HOME Investments Partnership (HOME) Program.

These programs are designed to assist our low- and moderate-income residents. Brevard County will receive approximately $1,372,105 in CDBG funds and $550,883 in HOME funds next year.

In order to streamline the administration of the programs, HUD has consolidated all of the local planning and citizen participation requirements for the aforementioned grant programs into a single administrative process called “The Consolidated Plan.”

The Consolidated Plan is the result of analyzing data and input from many sources and the County will be seeking public input/comments now through July 5, 2022. The draft Plan is physically available for review at these locations:
