Canaveral Lock Will Be Closed Temporarily on Wednesday for Maintenance Work, Officials Say

Port Canaveral announced that the Canaveral Lock will be closed on Wednesday from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. for maintenance work.

BREVARD COUNTY • PORT CANAVERAL, FLORIDA – Port Canaveral announced that the Canaveral Lock will be closed on Wednesday from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. for maintenance work.

The lock team will be replacing a worn drive cable on one of the gates.

Officials say they could reopen sooner if the work is completed early.

The Canaveral Lock is owned and operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
