Eastern Florida State Men’s Tennis Team Finish Season Ranked No. 7 in ITA NJCAA National Team Rankings

Gonzalez and George Myers Millington rank No. 1 in doubles team

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College men’s tennis team finished the season ranked seventh in the final ITA NJCAA men’s national team rankings.

The Titans placed seventh in the national tournament which was held at Tyler Junior College in Tyler, Texas in May.

Freshman Lucas Gonzalez, who reached the semifinals at No. 1 singles finishes the season ranked fifth overall in the ITA national men’s singles rankings.

Gonzalez lost to the eventual singles champion Takeshi Taco of Cowley County Community College.

Teammate Ramiro Rincon, who had to retire due to cramping in No. 3 singles, is No. 25 while Bernardo Vieira is No. 31 in the rankings after making it to the quarterfinals of the national tournament at No. 4 singles.

Lluc Pasqual Camps finishes the season No. 37 in the rankings after falling in the semifinals at No. 5 singles while Corentin Venot is ranked 47th overall after making it to the semifinals at No. 6 singles in the national tournament.

The no. 1 doubles team of Gonzalez and George Myers Millington is No. 13 while the No. 2 team of Camps and Vieira finish 15th in the rankings.
