BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Florida Tech’s Alex Carpenter earned his first College Sports Information Directors of America Academic All-America Second Team honors for his outstanding work in the classroom, earning a 4.0 GPA for his MBA.

Carpenter was selected by CoSIDA to the Academic All-District Baseball Team on May 12, 2022.

Selected by CoSIDA, the 2021-22 Academic All-America Baseball Team recognizes the nation’s top scholar-athletes for their performances in the classroom and on the field.

The CoSIDA Academic All-America program recognizes baseball honorees in NCAA Divisions I, II, III, and the NAIA.

Carpenter appeared in 17 games in the 2022 season, where he recorded six saves with a 1.44 ERA. Alex accumulated 22 strikeouts while allowing only four runs across 25 innings of work.

The graduate student completed his undergraduate degree in Psychology at Florida Tech with a 4.0 GPA and is expected to graduate with his MBA degree in May 2023.
