Florida Tech Swimmer Savannah Brennan Collects Back-to-Back Academic All-America Honors

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Savannah Brennan of Florida Tech women’s swimming has been named to the CoSIDA 2021-22 Academic All-America First Team.

This marks Brennan’s second straight All-America recognition, following her selection to the CoSIDA Academic All-District Team.

Selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), the At-Large program includes the sports of fencing, golf, gymnastics, ice hockey, lacrosse, rifle, skiing, swimming, tennis, water polo, bowling, rowing, and field hockey, and beach volleyball for women.

The native of Oviedo, Florida received her undergraduate degree in Genomics and Molecular Genetics and Biomedical Science with a minor in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology.

Savannah posted a 4.0 GPA and earned her master’s degree in Biotechnology.

Brennan has earned every CSCAA Scholar All-American, SSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll, Athletic Director’s Honor Roll, and Dean’s List award she has been eligible for during her career at Florida Tech.

Savannah is a two-time SSC Female Scholar-Athlete of the year and received the 2021-22 Florida Tech Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year.

Brennan has had a legendary career with the Florida Tech Panthers, becoming the first female All-American swimmer in program history after her fifth-place finish in the 1000 Free Final at the NCAA Championships with a time of 10:04.04.

Savannah holds 10 records for the crimson and gray, is a four-time national championship contender, Sunshine State Conference Championship medalist, three-time All-SSC swimmer, has recorded nine individual wins and has contributed to six relay triumphs for the Panthers this season.
