On July 4, The Veterans Memorial Center and the Brevard County Sheriff's Office will host the Independence Day Parade

The Space Coast will feature multiple Independence Day options over the weekend, including fun runs, picnics, concerts, fireworks and more.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Space Coast will feature multiple Independence Day options over the weekend, including fun runs, picnics, concerts, fireworks and more.

SATURDAY

■ Palm Bay
Saturday, July 2, The City of Palm Bay’s event Independence Day Celebration: returns to the Palm Bay campus of Eastern Florida State College, 250 Community College Pkwy SE, on Saturday, July 2 from 5 to 9 p.m. It will feature more than 20 food trucks, vendors, live music by Blue Stone Circle, and a kids’ zone with free inflatables, games and face painting. Fireworks will cap off the evening around 9:15 p.m. No pets, fireworks, sparklers, drones, or alcohol will be permitted. A limited number of VIP parking spaces are available for the event. Pass cost is $20 per vehicle and can be purchased at PBFL.org/IndependenceDay. VIP passes cannot be purchased the day of the event. Tickets will be available until June 30th or until they are sold out. Proceeds from parking passes will go to the Palm Bay Disaster Relief Committee.

■ Port St. John
Saturday, July 2, The Port St. John Community Foundation hosts Thunder Over the Indian River, this free outdoor event at the OUC Indian River Plant, 7800 S. US1 on from 4 to 10 p.m. It will include live entertainment, bounce houses, games, prizes and more. Tickets for the Red, Hot & BBQ contest, which include BBQ samples, raffles and voting for the People’s Choice awards, are $10. Fireworks start at 9:15 p.m. In the event of rain, the event will be postponed to Sunday, July 3.

SUNDAY

■ Cocoa Beach
Sunday, July 3, The City of Cocoa Beach will host a fireworks display at Fischer Park Beach, 2200 N. Atlantic Ave., starting at 9 p.m. The park will be closed to pedestrians and cars all day.

■ Suntree
Sunday, July 3, the Melbourne Municipal Band will give a patriotic concert Suntree Stars and Stripes at Suntree United Methodist Church, 7400 N. Wickham Road, Melbourne. The event starts at 4 p.m. Enjoy an outdoor picnic of hot dogs, chips, lemonade and ice cream, a scavenger hunt and lawn games, while listening to patriotic music, followed by the indoor concert at 6:30 p.m. Admission is free.

MONDAY

■ Cocoa
Monday, July 4, The Brevard Symphony Orchestra is hosting a free concert at Riverfront Park, Symphony Under the Stars: The show starts at 8 p.m. Fireworks follow at 9:15 p.m. Remember to bring your lawn chairs or blankets and get here early to find a spot. a VIP experience is available at 6:30 p.m. at the Cocoa Civic Center. where you will join BSO supporters, musicians and staff for a BBQ. Tickets to the VIP BBQ are $60 for Brevard Symphony Orchestra subscribers, $75 for non-subscribers, and include reserved parking and reserved concert seating as well as dinner and dessert.

■ Indialantic
Monday, July 4, The Melbourne Municipal Band performs along with the Eastminster Presbyterian Church choir at, 106 Riverside Drive, Indialantic, for a patriotic concert at 7:30 p.m. Admission is free.

■ Melbourne
Monday, July 4, Festivities start at 6:45 a.m. with the Firecracker 5K: A 5K run/walk at Eau Gallie Square, 1453 Highland Ave., Melbourne. Finisher medals will be awarded, and red, white and blue popsicles provided for all finishers. Additionally, there will be special awards for the top 3 local heroes representing military, fire or police service.

The City of Melbourne hosts a fireworks celebration MELBOOM starting at 9 p.m. at Front Street Park, 2210 Front Street, Melbourne. From approximately 8:10 to 8:30 p.m., there will be a skydiving show by the Air Sports Parachute Team. Attendees are encouraged to park at the Melbourne Auditorium, 625 Hibiscus Blvd., and use a free shuttle service to Front Street Park. Buses will run continuously from 7 to 9 p.m and resume after the fireworks show. In the event of rain, the fireworks will be rescheduled to July 5.

There will be additional Fireworks viewing at Green Gables, 1501 S. Harbor City Blvd., Melbourne, overlooking the Indian River Lagoon. The event is from 7 to 10 p.m. Bring your lawn chairs to enjoy the music and watch the Melbourne fireworks. Food and water are available for purchase; alcohol is prohibited. Admission is $10 per car in advance or $15 per car at the door. Parking is available at the Reflections building to the north of the property. Tours of the house will be offered for $10 per person until dusk.

■ Merritt Island
Monday, July 4, The Veterans Memorial Center and the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office will host the Independence Day Parade starting at 10 a.m. Staging starts at Merritt Island High School, proceeds south on Courtenay Pkwy., continues east on Merritt Ave., and ends at Edgewood Jr./Sr. High. After the parade, a celebration with food trucks will take place at the Veterans Memorial Center, 400 S. Sykes Creek Pkwy., Behind the Merritt Square Mall.

■ Rockledge
Monday, July 4, The City of Rockledge will host its 35th Independence Day picnic at McLarty Park, 790 Barton Blvd., Rockledge from 10 a.m to 2 p.m. It will include activities, games, music and more. Admission is free, and lunch tickets for hamburgers, hot dogs, chips and drinks will be available on-site for $1.

■ Titusville
Monday, July 4, the City of Titusville will host a free family event Red, White and Boom in conjunction with the fireworks display starting at 7 p.m. Enjoy music, food, business vendors and other family-friendly activities in Chain of Lakes Park, 2300 Truman Scarborough Way, Titusville. Fireworks will begin at approximately 9:15 p.m.

■ Viera
Monday, July 4, Great American Celebration: A spectacular fireworks display is the highlight of this event at the SPACE COAST DAILY PARK just east of USSSA complex, 6091 Stadium Parkway, Viera, starting at 9 p.m.
