Saturday Night: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before midnight

The National Weather Service in Melbourne forecast for Brevard County calls for showers and thunderstorms are likely, mainly between 2 p.m and 5 p.m, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 5 p.m., partly sunny skies, with a high near 89, along with west to southwest wind 5 to 10 mph, the chance of precipitation is 70%, and new rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
