OBITUARY: U.S. Air Force and Navy Veteran David Thomas Brockwell, 80, of Cocoa, Passed Away June 12

Served 10 Years in the Navy, 14 years in the Air Force and retired with 24 years of service to his country
BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – David Thomas Brockwell of Cocoa, passed away peacefully on June 12, at St. Frances Reflections Lifestage Care in Titusville, at the age of 80 years old.
Dave was born in Hickman, Kentucky on September 1, 1941. Dave will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 56 years, Jeanne Brockwell.
He was a loving, devoted husband, father, and papa. He is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, David and Aida of Georgia, Kenneth and Jennifer of Florida, beloved Papa to Jeremy and Rylee.
Dave loved to fish and hunt with his sons. The family has very fond memories of camping and spending time outdoors.
Dave proudly served in the United States Navy for 10 years and then had a three-year separation. He decided to rejoin the military and then proudly served 14 years in the United States Air Force and retired with 24 years of service to his country. His military job was an Aircraft Pneudraulic Systems Technician.
He was stationed in numerous states as well as overseas deployments in places such as Rota Spain, Germany and Thailand. After retirement he moved to Florida and worked for Sea Ray Boats in Merritt Island.
Friends and family will celebrate his life on Friday, July 1 at Brevard Memorial Funeral Home at 5475 North Highway 1, Cocoa, FL 32927. The visitation will be open to the public at 1 p.m. with the service beginning at 2 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Francis Reflections in Titusville.
