BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Brevard County’s signature fundraising annual event “Dancing For the Space Coast” was presented Saturday night at Florida Tech’s Clemente Center to an enthusiastic who’s-who sold-out crowd of more than 800 people.

For those who couldn’t get a ticket or attend the event, Space Coast Daily live-streamed all the exciting action live On-Demand via the Space Coast Daily TV App. The Space Coast Daily TV app is available for download in the Apple TV App StoreAmazon Fire TV Store and Roku TV Channel Store.

Over the last 10 years, “Dancing for the Space Coast” has become the largest charity event in Brevard County and the 2022 edition raised more than $400,000, which will benefit the House of Hope, Promise in Brevard, the Veterans Memorial Center and the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Charity.

Danielle is Realtor at Blue Marlin Real Estate, a brokerage that specializes in all aspects of residential real estate in Brevard County.

Her business is built on: commitment, communication and most importantly, TRUST. A true “Island Girl” since I was a child, I can find you the right house, bank, builder, jeweler (Hi Dad!) auto mechanic, hair stylist… and yes, even the right fishing guide! (I don’t like to advertise this fact, but I’d do this job for free. It’s my passion.

“Witnessing clients falling in love with this incredible place that I get to call home, is one of the best feelings ever).”

Masucci studied at Florida Atlantic University with the intent of studying nursing. Instead, she swapped majors and graduated with a BA in Communications

After a brief hiatus in education, she finally completed a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Webster University.

“I’m in LOVE with our amazing community. I’ve grown up here my whole life, and I’m now raising my son here. I feel like Brevard County offers the best aspects of a perfect community, and I’m passionate about everyone knowing that! Small town vibes with a friendly and laid-back feeling, combined with a flair and appreciation for creativity and science, topped off with sustainability for the adventurous,” said Masucci.

“I’ve been entrenched in the dance world from the time I was 3. From studying traditional dance forms like ballet and jazz at Dussich Dance Studio (Hi Ms. Liz!), competing my way through Jefferson Jr. High and Merritt Island HS dance teams, earning a dance scholarship at Florida Atlantic University, to finally moving back to Brevard to coach at MIHS and Special Olympics Cheer; DANCE has and will always be an integral part of my life. Due to a car accident, followed by surgery on my spine and mobility issues, I was unable to physically continue dancing – but now, thanks to the assistance of the best fitness and health mentors in the area, I’m back on my feet and dancing to any beat!”

Community philanthropy has always been a top priority for her too.

Leveraging community resources to address challenges, and improving the quality of life here in Brevard is of the utmost importance. Through the networking and training she received during her tenure with the Junior League of South Brevard, employment as a mental health counselor at Crosswinds Youth Services, as well volunteering and continued efforts at a number of other local initiatives, she’s learned how to best put her talents to work, and positively impact Brevard County utilizing many platforms.

When she is not selling real estate, you’ll either find her with her son at Disney World or Universal riding all of the roller coasters they can handle, singing in the band at East Coast Christian Center in Merritt Island, or hanging out at home in Suntree with her dog, Maya and hamsters, Lasagna & Sammich.

“I am incredibly blessed to have the love and support of my parents (Hi Jack & Linda!), fabulous business partner, Michelle, my marvelous tribe of strong and amazing girlfriends, as well as the unwavering encouragement and advisement from numerous mentors. I know I’m missing people, but you know who you are! Thank you for shaping me into the woman I am today… Go team!”

Bragging Rights on the Line

Each celebrity dancer was matched up with a professional dancer as they competed in a ballroom dance – and for bragging rights as the best dancer in Brevard.

On the evening of the competition, each dance pair competed in a choreographed ballroom dance that will be scored by a panel of judges. During the show, couples earned scores based on several technical skill factors, but the judges’ scores alone don’t decide the dancer’s final score.

Leading up to the actual performance, the dancers already scored 60 percent of their points through their fundraising endeavors to benefit needy charities.

Dancing For the Space Coast is presented by the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office, and sponsored by L3Harris and Space Coast Daily and Florida Tech.
