SHERIFF IVEY: Believe it or not, “Yeti” is being trained to sniff out electronic storage devices to assist agents
BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – With June being Internet Safety Month, there’s no better time than now to introduce “Yeti,” who is one of our newest K9’s that is being assigned to our Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force.
Believe it or not, “Yeti” is being trained to sniff out electronic storage devices to assist agents when searching for evidence in the homes of perpetrators who prey upon our most precious of citizens, our children.
“Yeti” knows that trying to monitor our children on the internet these days can be ruff, but thankfully he is here to help, In fact, did you know, the most important tools in preventing risky online behavior are education and frequent conversations between parents and their children?
Please join me in welcoming “Yeti” to our team and thanking everyone with the BCSO Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force who work tirelessly each and every day to keep our children safe from online predators.
