BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Are you concerned about the issues within your community and feel compelled to do more? Then consider signing up for our EmpowerU Advocacy Training Program.

This training program will move you closer to finding a solution and help you be a part of the change. No prior knowledge is needed; only interest and willingness to engage!

This 6-week hybrid course is designed for community leaders, residents, organizations, and anyone interested in learning how to meaningfully engage and influence decision-makers about any issues they are concerned about.

Participants will work through 8 hours of self-paced online learning activities via Canvas, as well as attend 3 live workshops (2 via Zoom and 1 in-person).

By the end of this training, participants will have developed a 4-5 page roadmap, learn how to find reliable information, review best practices for listening, and more!

The EmpowerU Advocacy Training Program will run from August 15 to September 23, 2022, and costs $125. Completion of all online modules and workshop sessions is required to complete the course.

Please allow for at least 2 hours of online work each week and be able to engage in all 3 live workshop sessions. The in-person workshop will be held at the UF/IFAS Extension office in Cocoa.
