WATCH: The 2022 Little League All-Star Tournament began over the weekend with games taking place throughout the Space Coast and the Friday Night Locker Room team of Steve Wilson and Orville Susong brought you the action on Space Coast Daily TV.
BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The 2022 Little League All-Star Tournament began over the weekend with games taking place throughout the Space Coast.
The Friday Night Locker Room’s Steve Wilson and Orville Susong bring you play-by-play action on Space Coast Daily TV from McLarty Stadium in Rockledge.
Two more games were completed in the 9-11 BB division over at Cocoa Little League’s Stradley Park on Friday night.
On-Field #1, the visiting Mims Little League scored 14 runs behind Tyler Minch, Ethan Selph, and Bryce Jordan who each scored twice, while Curtis Lowe crossed the plate 3 times.
Tyler Minch, Jaxon Minnear, and Mason Selph each had a double. For the home team of Rockledge Little League, Lucius Amick, Carter Skradski, MJ Harvey, Yovanni Spratling, and Bryson Jefferson accounted for their 5 runs, while Nathan Mayhue had a double, but was stranded on base.
Mims’ Jaxon Minnear was the starting pitcher and went into the third for the 14-6 Mims win.
Field #2 saw the visiting team of Port St John Little League take on Merritt Island Little League.
Port St John’s Bentley Cox, Bryce Crocker, and Travis Taylor had tripled, while Lane Thompson had a double and a home run.
Merritt Island had multiple runs from Logan Pack (2), Adrian Sherwood (2), and Adam Cochran (3), but it wasn’t enough as Port St John won 22-8 in 5 innings.
Bryce Crocker was the winning pitcher for Port St John.
