BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College  Lab School ended its 55+-year tenure in Brevard County in May 2022.

With the closing of the EFSC Lab School, new nonprofit Launch Learning has been created to provide the old Lab School programs along with newer programs to support the needs of Brevard County.

In August 2022, the Launch Learning program will continue with the Lab School vision. Enrollment began in March, and the Launch Learning classrooms are filling up with new and enthusiastic families, even as construction continues on the brand-new building on Merritt Island.

The Launch Learning team embraces the weight of continuing the Lab School legacy, knowing that expectations were set high by inspiring directors like Barbara Young and Gail Buchanan.

Launch Learning is committed to maintaining excellence in education as well as to supporting families of young children in Brevard County, just as the Lab School has for so many years.

“Our team is honored to carry the torch of helping grow confident families here on the Space Coast,” said Launch Learning Executive Director Jonnah Buchanan.
