BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – Former Rockledge Raiders Coach Brian Waritay was named the new Cocoa Tigers head girls basketball coach.

Waritay recently served as the head junior varsity girls basketball coach at Rockledge and varsity assistant since 2013.

“Cocoa High School would like to welcome Coach Brian Waritay as our new Head Girls Basketball coach,” said Athletic Director Mark Carstens.

“We are excited to have him as a part of our coaching staff. Coach Waritay brings incredible enthusiasm, energy, and significant coaching knowledge to the program. We are confident that he will continue the great traditions of Cocoa High School Girls Basketball.

Coach Waritay will take over the program after Aisha Patrick stepped down back in May.

Patrick concluded her coaching tenure at Cocoa with a 104-40 overall record and led the Cocoa Tigers girl’s basketball team to three district championships, along with a state semifinal appearance.
