Henry C. Gingras, 72, of Cocoa Beach Passed Away June 28, Was a Positive Force of Nature

Henry C. Gingras, 72, of Cocoa Beach passed away on Tuesday, June 28. He was born in Holyoke Massachusetts to Robert Sr. and Mary Louise Gingras. Henry was born with cerebral palsy but he never let that keep him from living his life to the fullest. He was a proud 14-time gold medalist bowler in the Special Olympics. He also spent many years fishing at the pier and enjoyed afternoons with his friends at the Sandbar. 

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA BEACH, FLORIDA – Henry C. Gingras, 72, of Cocoa Beach passed away on Tuesday, June 28. He was born in Holyoke Massachusetts to Robert Sr. and Mary Louise Gingras.

Henry was born with cerebral palsy but he never let that keep him from living his life to the fullest. He was a proud 14-time gold medalist bowler in the Special Olympics. He also spent many years fishing at the pier and enjoyed afternoons with his friends at the Sandbar.

He loved meeting new people and talking to them about his bowling and fishing successes. He was a positive force of nature who made a friend and had an impact on literally everyone he met.

He is predeceased by his father Robert Sr., his mother Mary Louise, his sister Paula and his brother Robert Jr. He is survived by two sisters and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Henry will be sorely missed by many. A celebration of life will take place at Florida Memorial Gardens in Rockledge on Sunday, July 17 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the Brevard County Special Olympics in his honor.
