BREVARD COUNTY • MERRITT ISLAND, FLORIDA – Team Horsepower, the first robotics team for schools located on Merritt Island, made an in-person presentation to the Space Coast-based All Points executive team on their plans and community support needs.
The four-person high school presenters included Nikhil Iyer, Kaley Brown, Bisrat Kassahun and team lead Makaila Johnson.
The students, from various local high schools and home schools, worked evenings and weekends during build season, donating time in the summer to community outreach.
They are looking to fulfill a decade-long goal of building their own Robotics lab at Edgewood High School.
The new lab will be the only one of its kind in Brevard County and attract even more students so they may pursue their dreams in STEM fields through first-hand experience.
All Points was one of the first presentations they made this summer, where the executive team provided feedback on their pitch, as they plan to present it to other Merritt Island organizations this summer and fall.
All Points was established nearly 25 years ago, has operations in 18 states, and has grown into a leading solution provider to a diverse array of government and commercial customers.
As winners of the 2019 Rigel Supplier of the Year Award, which is given to the outstanding small business in the Orion program that goes above and “beyond contractual obligations” to make the program a success and is the recipient of a 2021 Outstanding Small Business Award, All Points continues to provide outstanding support to Lockheed Martin, NASA, and NOAA in their efforts to explore our Moon, the Solar System, and beyond.
